Al-Baraka completes the restoration and rehabilitation work of the maternity ward at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza

In a step towards improving and developing healthcare services in the Gaza Strip, Al-Baraka completed the renovation and rehabilitation of the maternity ward at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, thanks to a generous donation from descendants of prominent Algerian figures, as part of their ongoing support for the "Promise Fulfilled" campaign.

The project involved comprehensive renovations, including the repair of damaged ceilings, the resurfacing and painting of walls, and the provision of modern medical equipment that contributes to improving the working environment for doctors and nurses and providing greater comfort for women.

On December 26, 2024, Al-Baraka held an opening ceremony for the maternity ward, attended by a number of officials and prominent figures. Mr. Shadi Junaida, Director of Al-Baraka's Gaza office, expressed his gratitude to the donors, noting that the hospital has always been a vital resource for the people of Palestine and their patients, staffed by highly qualified doctors. He emphasized that this project reflects Al-Baraka's commitment to providing the best possible healthcare services to the wounded and sick among the Palestinian people.

The office director noted that Al-Baraka's efforts in this project reflect their deep commitment to the Palestinian cause and their ongoing dedication to strengthening Palestinian resilience. He also expressed his gratitude to Al-Baraka's staff and the healthcare workers in the field who have made significant efforts to improve the health situation in Gaza.

For their part, the administration of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, represented by the hospital director and the chief medical officer, expressed their profound thanks and appreciation to Al-Baraka Association for its continuous efforts since the beginning of the aggression. They considered this project to be the most important and largest in a series of projects implemented by Al-Baraka in Gaza.

This project represents a significant step in the development of the health sector in Gaza. This restoration serves as a living example of ongoing humanitarian cooperation amidst the immense challenges facing the Palestinian people and represents a new pillar in providing necessary healthcare to all who need it.
